3. Fragrance Oils (Pick from our selection of high-quality scents!)

4. Dye or Pigments (Optional, for colored candles)

5. Candle Containers (Glass jars, tin cans, or silicone molds)

6. Double Boiler or Wax Melter

7. Thermometer

8. Digital Weighing Scale

9. Pouring Pitcher

10. Heat Gun

Step-by-Step Candle Making Process

Step 1: Prepare Your Workstation

Set up a clean, flat surface and lay out all your materials. Cover the area with parchment paper or newspaper to catch any wax drips.

Step 2: Measure and Melt the Wax

a. Weigh the amount of wax needed based on your container size.

b. Use a double boiler or wax melter to melt the wax slowly, stirring occasionally.

c. Heat the wax to around 170–180°F (77–82°C), depending on the type of wax used.

Step 3: Add Fragrance and Color

a. Remove the wax from heat and let it cool slightly to about 160°F (71°C) before adding fragrance oils.

b. Stir in fragrance oil (typically 8–10% of the wax weight for a strong scent throw).

c. If using dye, add a small amount and stir well to ensure even coloring.

Step 4: Prepare the Wick and Container

a. Attach the wick to the center of your container using wick stickers or hot glue.

b. Use a wick holder or wooden stick to keep it centered and upright.

Step 5: Pour the Wax

a. Carefully pour the melted wax into the container, leaving about ½ inch from the top.

b. Let the candle cool and harden at room temperature for several hours.

Step 6: Trim the Wick and Cure the Candle

a. Once fully set, trim the wick to about ¼ inch for an optimal burn.

b. Allow the candle to cure for at least 24–48 hours to enhance scent throw before burning.

Tips for a Perfect Candle

a. Choose the Right Wick: A wick too small may result in tunneling, while a wick too large can cause excessive soot and flickering.

b. Test Your Scent Load: Overloading with fragrance oil can cause poor burning or sweating.

c. Avoid Air Bubbles: Pour wax slowly and at the right temperature to prevent bubbles or sinkholes.

d. Let Candles Cure: This helps the fragrance bind properly for a stronger scent.
